SPEED is now known as the best young J-pop stars in Japan. SPEED consists of 4 girls, Hitoe, Eriko, Takako, and Hiriko. They met each other at a music school and were discovered from their performances (dancing and singing) by the Rising Company and they were contracted to be back dancers for popular shows and popular J-pop singers, this happened to them at a very young age of 11-13yrs old. When it was 1996, they were contracted to be singers of Rising Company. SPEED�s reputation went up quickly due to the fact that the people of their country chose the name �SPEED� for them.
